Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, also known as Jagan, is an Indian politician who is currently serving as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. He is the son of former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy.

Early Life and Education:

Jagan Mohan Reddy was born on December 21, 1983, in Hyderabad, India. He completed his schooling at Hyderabad Public School and went on to study B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the Vasavi College of Engineering, Hyderabad.

Political Career:

Jagan Mohan Reddy entered politics after the death of his father, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, in a helicopter crash in 2009. He worked closely with his father during his time as Chief Minister and gained experience in politics.

In 2009, Jagan Mohan Reddy founded the YSR Congress Party and became its President. The party contested in the 2014 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections but failed to win. However, in the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, the YSR Congress Party won with a landslide victory and Jagan Mohan Reddy became the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

As Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy has launched several welfare schemes, including the Amma Vodi scheme, which provides financial assistance to economically weaker sections for their children's education, and the YSR Pension scheme, which provides financial assistance to elderly citizens, widows, and disabled people.
