Rohit Sharma is an Indian cricketer who was born on April 30, 1987, in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. He is a right-handed batsman and occasional right-arm off-break bowler. Rohit is considered one of the best limited-overs batsmen in the world and is known for his aggressive stroke-play and his ability to score big runs.

Rohit made his debut for India in 2007 and initially played as a middle-order batsman. However, he found his true calling as an opener in the limited-overs format and has been one of India's most successful openers in recent years. He is the only player in the history of cricket to score three double centuries in One Day International cricket and is also the fastest batsman to score 7,000 runs in ODI cricket.



Rohit has been a part of India's triumphs in major ICC tournaments, including the 2007 T20 World Cup, the 2013 Champions Trophy, and the 2015 and 2019 ODI World Cups. He was also a key member of the Mumbai Indians franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and has led them to five IPL titles, making him the most successful captain in IPL history.

Off the field, Rohit is known for his calm and composed demeanor and is often referred to as "Hitman" by his fans. He is married to Ritika Sajdeh and has a daughter named Samaira.
